Terms of Service
Version 2026-10 · Gangotri Consumable Retails Pvt Ltd, gangotrisales@gmail.com
1. The service
Apnalekha ("the Service") is provided by Gangotri Consumable Retails Pvt Ltd ("we"). It lets a business ("you") keep accounts, GST records, inventory, payroll and related documents online.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the people you give access to, for keeping passwords private and for using two-step verification for administrators. Tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
3. Your data
The books and documents you enter remain yours. We process them only to provide the Service, as set out in the Data Processing Agreement. You can download a complete backup at any time from Administration → Backup & Restore.
4. Trial, plans and payment
New accounts get a free trial. After the trial or a paid period ends, the books become read-only (view, print, export and backup keep working) until a plan is paid. Prices include GST as shown on the Subscription page. Payments made by UPI or bank transfer start the plan when we confirm them.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes, to store data you have no right to process, or to attack or overload it. We may suspend an account that does so, and will tell you why.
6. Availability and backups
We take daily backups and keep an encrypted off-site copy, and aim for the Service to be available at all times, but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
7. Tax and professional advice
The Service calculates figures from what you enter. You remain responsible for your accounts, returns and filings; please have them reviewed by your Chartered Accountant.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit.
9. Ending the service
You may stop at any time and ask for your account to be erased (Settings → Data & Privacy). We may end the Service with 30 days' notice, giving you time to download your data.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the place of our registered office have jurisdiction. Questions: Deepti Shahi — deepti.gangotri@gmail.com, 8859888812.
